Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris' love story is over? Baby, just say no!

How deep is Calvin Harris and Taylor Swift's love? Apparently not deep enough to survive the cruel celebrity summer breakup season.

According to People, the wealthy blonde couple called it quits after 15 months. Love truly is a ruthless game unless you play it good and right -- just ask Kylie and Tyga.

Harris was recently in a car crash and had to cancel several shows, but he seems to be doing alright now based on the Instagram showing off his abs that he posted two days ago. However, Harris deleted the photo shortly after news of the breakup hit.

Still, could the car crash be a factor? Did Harris' life flash before his eyes? 

It's worth considering since they were most recently spotted showing PDA on May 20, kissing after reportedly returning from the Caribbean together. Harris' car crash occurred on May 21.

Apart from picking up awards named in her honor, Swift has been laying low (by Taylor Swift standards) and wearing lots of black for the most part. 

The couple hasn't made any recent public appearances since the April 3 iHeart Radio Music Awards. Harris was noticeably absent from the Met Gala, which Swift co-hosted and the BMI Awards where she picked up the aforementioned Taylor Swift Award.

However, up until very recently, their love seemed to be stronger than ever. Swift celebrated their anniversary by donning a locket commemorating the day they got together. That Instagram has become a memorial page for fans following news of the breakup.

A month ago, Swift was also aggressively promoting her man's new single with Rihanna and even captioned Instagrams from a major squad event, Gigi Hadid's birthday party, with lyrics from the song.

The people of the internet have responded with shock, dismay, glee, jokes about the inherent comedy value of anyone dating a DJ and, of course, some slut shaming.

Despite the bad news, Swift still has plenty to celebrate today. She's the youngest person on Forbes' wealthiest self-made women's list.
