Dropping your phone is a part of life — if you're like me, it's something you likely do once per day.
Thus it has become a rite of passage for phones new to the market to go through extensive durability tests online. Zac from the YouTube account JerryRigEverything recently performed a serious durability test for the aluminum-bodied iPhone 15, which is different than the new, titanium iPhone 15 Pro.
Long story short: The iPhone 15 passed with ease. Screen scratch test? No issues. It also did a decent job of not scratching badly on the back or on the camera. And bending the phone didn't break it either. All in all, a good performance.
All of the new iPhone 15s didn't have such good luck. JerryRigEverything also tested the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max. The Pro Max straight up failed the durability test in a video that racked up more than nine million views. The back of the phone effectively shattered upon being bent. Not great!
A drop test for the iPhone 15 Pro also showed some issues. AppleTrack found that the iPhone 14 Pro was fully functional after the test. The 15 Pro, meanwhile, was broken into two pieces and not working at all.
